How To Create A Subdomain
A subdomain is used when you want to create a mini website separate from your main site. The information in your subdomain can be close to your main site but can not be the same.
A subdomain is considered a second different website than your main site, which is why if you have the same information in both your main site and your subdomain, then search engines will see this as copied information and will penalize your website for it.
Create A Subdomain in 3 Easy Steps:
Step 1:
Login to your C-Panel and scroll down to Domains.
Step 2:
Enter a Subdomain name and a folder will be created on your hosting server with the same name as your subdomain. You can use this folder to upload your subdomain site to.
Step 3:
Use any FTP program you have (Such as FileZilla) to login in to your hosting server and go the the folder named with your subdomain and upload all the files you want for your new subdomain site.
